Three measurements
Built around how you live, down to the millimetre.
A bed that is nearly right is still wrong every day you use it. These are the three measurements our customers change most often, and what each one is really for.
The one most people never think to change
Sit on the edge of your bed. If your feet rest flat and your knees sit roughly level with your hips, the height is right. If they do not, you are working against the bed every time you get in and out. It matters just as much for anyone helping, who needs it at their own working height. We build to the height that suits you, not the height the trade assumes.
Fit the room you have
Chimney breasts, radiators, a doorway that needs to stay clear, or space to come alongside. Forty millimetres either way is often the difference between a room that works and one you edge around.
Room to stretch out
Standard length leaves taller people with their feet over the end, and a short room leaves nowhere to walk past. We make it both ways: longer where you want the room, shorter where you have not got it.

Every made to measure bed is drawn, cut and upholstered to order. Nothing is priced until we have talked it through with you, and nothing is cut until you have signed it off.
Deciding and changing
Two promises, doing two different jobs.
Made to measure is covered by both, exactly the same as a bed from the standard range. They are not the same thing, so here is what each one actually means.
14 night home trial
Fourteen nights in your own bedroom to decide whether the bed is right for you at all. Not a comfort setting, a decision.

30 day comfort exchange
Thirty days to exchange the bed if the comfort is wrong. Too firm, too soft, the wrong height. We build the one that suits instead.
- The thirty days run from the date of delivery, not the date you order
- This is an exchange for a different bed, not a return
- It covers the bed, not the mattress on its own
- One exchange per order, and we will talk it through before anything is remade
The difference in one line. A trial is deciding whether to keep it. An exchange is swapping it for something that suits you better. If you are not sure which you want, call us and we will work it out with you.
VAT relief
Many of our customers pay no VAT at all.
If you have a long term condition or a disability, or you are buying for someone who does, your bed and mattress can be zero rated. It is a short declaration, and we do the work. We will never make it a hurdle.

Fabric
See it and feel it before you decide anything.
Colour on a screen is a guess. We post you samples of whatever you are considering, free, so you can hold them against your carpet, your curtains and your own light at eight in the evening. Tick the box on the form and tell us roughly what you are after.

Your draft order
The full specification in writing. Pay in full, pay a deposit, or spread it with finance. Nothing is cut until you sign it off.
Built and delivered
Four weeks in our workshop, then delivered and set up in your room. Then fourteen nights to live with it.
Guarantee and aftercare
Bespoke does not mean a thinner guarantee.
A bed we cut specially for you is covered exactly the same as one from the standard range. Same terms, same callouts, same parts. Aftercare continues through Motion Care, Motion Care Plus and Motion Care Total, with Accidental Damage Cover underwritten separately.
