14 day trial, starting the day it arrives
A bed is not something you can judge in a showroom with your coat on. You need to sleep on it, get in and out of it, and live with it for a while. So every bed, mattress and chair we make comes with fourteen days at home from the day it is delivered. If it is not right, you call us and we will come and take it away.
How it works
Four steps, and a phone call
Step 1
Your trial starts on delivery
Not when you order. Not when we start making it. Your fourteen days begin the day our team has delivered your bed, set it up in the room of your choice and taken the packaging away.
Step 2
Live with it
Sleep on it. Sit up in it. Get in and out of it in the morning when it matters most. Fourteen days is long enough to know, and short enough that you will not put off making the call.
Step 3
Not right? Call us
Ring 0800 870 8582 any time within the fourteen days and tell us. There is no form to fill in, no returns portal, and nobody will ask you to justify it. A real person will pick up.
Step 4
We collect it and refund you
We arrange collection on our own vans, at a time that suits you. A collection charge applies, shown below. Once it is back with us, your refund goes back to the card you paid with within fourteen days.
The one cost
What collection costs
We do not use couriers. Our own team delivered your bed and our own team comes back for it, which is why there is a charge. It is the only cost, and it is deducted from your refund so there is nothing to pay separately.

The fine print, in plain English
What we ask of you
We expect a bed to have been slept in. That is the entire point of a trial. What we ask is that it comes back in a condition we can inspect and account for.
- Keep it clean and free of stains, tears, burns and pet damage
- Tell us within fourteen days of delivery, not after
- Keep the handset, legs, fittings and any accessories that came with it
- Give us clear access to the room, as you did on delivery day
If a bed comes back damaged beyond normal use, we may reduce the refund to reflect it. We will always tell you before we do, and we will show you why.
Your rights
This sits on top of the law, not instead of it
Our fourteen day trial is a promise we make voluntarily, and it covers every bed we build, including beds made to your own size and fabric which you would not normally be able to send back.
Separately, if you bought online and the item was not made to your specification, you have a legal right to cancel within fourteen days of delivery under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Nothing on this page reduces that right, or your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 if something arrives damaged or develops a fault. A faulty bed is never a trial return, and you will never be charged to send one back.

Questions people actually ask
Does the trial cover a bed made in my own fabric and size?
Yes. Every bed we make is built to order, so if the trial excluded bespoke beds it would exclude almost everything. It covers the lot.
When exactly do the fourteen days start?
The day your bed is delivered and set up. If we deliver on the 1st, you have until the end of the 15th to tell us.
What if I want a different feel rather than a refund?
Call us. In most cases we would rather swap the mattress than take the whole bed back, and it usually works out better for you too.
How long does the refund take?
Within fourteen days of the bed arriving back with us, to the card you paid with.
What if my bed is faulty?
Then it is not a trial return. Ring us and we will repair or replace it under your guarantee, at no cost to you.
Can I return just the mattress and keep the bed?
Yes. The £55 mattress collection charge applies.
What if I paid VAT relief prices?
Your refund is the amount you actually paid, less the collection charge.
