Frames are designed and built in our own factory in the West Midlands by people we know. Most chairs sold in Britain are assembled from parts made elsewhere.

Back and seat move as one, so your hips and knees stay supported through the lift. Single motor chairs push you forward out of the seat.

Motors, electronics and upholstery are covered for five years. Labour is covered for 24 months with unlimited callouts, so an engineer visit does not become an invoice.
Our story
I got tired of watching people pay too much for too little
I designed these frames myself, and I still do. When you buy from us, you are buying from the person who made it.
I learned the trade in a family that has been making furniture in Britain since 1968. I started selling motion furniture in 1992, when almost nobody here had heard of it, and I was the first to bring it to the British high street. For years I built the products that well known names sold under their own labels.
Everything is still made in our own factory in the West Midlands, by people I know rather than bought in and badged. That is rare now.
I started Motion Beds because I was tired of seeing this furniture sold on fear instead of comfort. I wanted to sell direct, with the price on the page and a real person on the phone.
I am sixty-two and I am not going anywhere. That matters when you are choosing a chair you intend to sit in every day for the next ten years.
